So, this is my MVB (minimum viable blog), which consists of nothing more than a handful of simple PHP, HTML and CSS pages. I realize that I'm supposed to use the standard issue WordPress like everyone else, but for my needs WordPress just seemed like bringing a bazooka to a knife fight. I tried Posterous as well because I was intrigued by their "email a post" feature, but found that customizing the CSS was just too painful. In the end, I decided to just build the blog from scratch since I am a web developer after all, and while I realize this will probably run completely afoul of the not-invented-here police, sometimes it's just easier and more fun to do things yourself.
